Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. After settling in, you will meet your mountain guide for a pre-climb briefing and gear check. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and prepare for your adventure.
Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel and a drive to Marangu Gate (1,860m). After registration, you’ll start trekking through the lush rainforest. The trail gradually ascends to Mandara Hut (2,720m), taking around 4-5 hours. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in huts.
After breakfast, you will leave the rainforest behind and trek through the moorland zone. The hike takes about 5-6 hours, and you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of both Kibo and Mawenzi peaks as you reach Horombo Hut (3,720m). Relax at the hut, where you'll spend the night.
Today is an acclimatization day at Horombo Hut to help your body adjust to the altitude. You can take an optional hike to Zebra Rocks or rest at the camp, preparing for the higher altitudes ahead. Meals and overnight stay at Horombo Hut.
You will trek across the "Saddle" between Kibo and Mawenzi peaks through a vast alpine desert. The hike is long but gradual, taking about 5-7 hours. You’ll reach Kibo Hut (4,700m) by late afternoon. After dinner, rest early as the summit attempt begins at midnight.
Around midnight, begin your summit push to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. The climb is challenging, taking 6-8 hours to reach the summit. After enjoying the breathtaking sunrise and taking photos, descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing to Horombo Hut (3,720m), making this a long day with 12-16 hours of trekking.
On the final day of your climb, you will descend from Horombo Hut back to Marangu Gate. This 5-6 hour trek takes you through the moorland and rainforest zones. Upon arrival at the gate, you will receive your certificates and be transferred to your hotel for a well-deserved rest.
After breakfast, your safari begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive, searching for wildlife including lions, giraffes, and zebras. Lunch will be served at a picnic site in the park. In the late afternoon, you will head to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.
Depart early for a scenic drive to the Serengeti, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After arriving in the Serengeti, you’ll have an afternoon game drive, spotting wildlife like lions, leopards, and wildebeests. Dinner and overnight will be at a lodge or tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti.
Spend a full day exploring the vast Serengeti plains. You will have morning and afternoon game drives, with opportunities to see the Big Five, as well as other wildlife such as cheetahs, elephants, and hyenas. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and return to your camp or lodge in the evening.
After breakfast, drive to the famous Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive within the caldera. Known as one of the best wildlife viewing areas in the world, the crater floor is home to rhinos, elephants, lions, and hippos. After a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, you will continue exploring the crater before driving to a lodge on the crater rim for dinner and overnight.
On the final day of your safari, visit Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and flamingo-filled lake. After a half-day game drive and picnic lunch, you’ll return to Arusha in the late afternoon. Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll be dropped off at the airport or your hotel.
